Very nice healthy tanto
in beautiful original mountings that are all ensuite. Blade is a
wide hirazukuri tanto with a very rare style of carving of a dragon.
This type of carving is very diffcult as it crosses over from one
side to the other. Hamon is a very nice notare midare with activity.
Ko-nie with nie is used for the hamon. The hada is a nice well mixed
ko-itame. The mountings for this blade are very nice and well made.
All matching fuchi-kashira, tsuba, kozuka, koiguchi, kurikata and
very large Kojiri and are carved of waves in motion. Scabbard lacquer
is a nice black with wave design as well. There are some small cracks
on the scabbard, but in other wife good condition. Mountings with
blade are very heavy. It is very hard to find good blades with nice
original mountings. |
