Description |
| Nice osuriage mumei tanto
from the late Koto period Mino School. This tanto is very textbook
for tanto from the 1500’s to early Keicho. By looking at the hamon
which is a gunome with an almost hako notare, it resembles the work
of Daido. A signed Mutsu no Kami Daido piece has an almost identical
hamon, with the same jigane. The jigane on this sword is a running
itame with masame. There is 1 razor blade opening, but it is NOT serious
or detracting. This is a very nice study piece, it is in good condition
with the hamon very healthy and bright. A very nice piece at a affordable
price. We recommend that this sword be put through an NBTHK shinsa.
In clean condition and shirasaya. |
