Description |
Elegant great condition signed Goto School kozuka by Goto Mitsukata. Called Hoju, he is the 2nd Hoju and was the son of Got Unjo. The work of this kozuka is done very well, the design of the millet under the moon shows a scene that is very nicely in such a limited space. Well carved, the design is made of gold , silver and shakudo. As in all high grade Goto kozuka, the shakudo is top notch , and the nanako is done very cleanly. The fact that this is a signed piece is also a collectable trait. There are very few signed examples left in existence, and good condition examples are even more rare. Since this kozuka is from the 1700’s, one can appreciate the condition , as well as the quality. In a custom fitted box with NBTHK certificate |
