Wakizashi on consignment attributed to Hizen Yukihiro. This blade is in a nice clean polish. The hamon of suguha with a nice itame hada shows very easily in its condition. The okissaki has a very healthy boshi, almost o maru. The blade is in good condition and has no apparent flaws. The tang is ubu 1 hole, but unsigned. The file marks are katte sagari. This blade is accompanied with a Fukunaga Suiken kanteisho attributing the blade to Hizen Yukihiro. The blade has a nice 2 piece gold and silver foiled habaki.
The mounts are such: the tsuka is a kincha tsukaito with a shakudo nanko fuchi kashira done in the Goto style of gold and silver flowers. The menuki are large shakudo and gold plum blossoms. Samegawa is black lacquered. The tsuba is an iron plate shoami style with a design of a single stirrup under a moon.. There are 3 seppa. The scabbard is black lacquered with a design of plants, a basket and a sickle done in red and gold lacquer. The kozuka is a gold wash nanko type with a design of a cow among the tress. The kogatana blade is signed Mino Kinju.
