Description
Nice gendaito made by Masayasu. Masayasu was a smith believed to be from the province of Owari. This sword is nicely made, and he is considered a real swordsmith during the war time. The temperline at first looks to be that of suguha, but when one looks carefully, one can see that there is many small nice activity of niedeki type. Kinsuji is well presented here along with lots of inazuma and chikei. There is also nijuba (double temper) in some places as well. Very interesting blade, much to see and enjoy. Blade is clean, but with some small areas of staining and slight scratches. Encased in its original WW2 mountings that are in fair / good condition.
