Description

Formal styled set of Daisho koshirae. This style is known sometimes as “Kamishimo” or castle mount. Deemed as a formal type of mount with the bushi’s family crest on the fuchi, along with plain shakudo tsuba known as “kenjo” or presentation tsuba, the effect is simple and clean.
Tsuka: Both are black colored wrapped tsuka specially done in what is known as “jabara maki” or the well known term “string wrap”Just the wrapping alone is valued at around $2000 when done as well as this set. Fuchi done with family mon with gold on shakudo nanako ground unsigned of very high quality. Menuki are of a diety riding on a crane on the Dai, on the Sho, a set of solid gold shishi,. Both tsuka in mint condition.

Seppa: All seppa are in very good condition.

Tsuba: Dai and Sho are both solid shakudo kenjo tsuba for formal occasions

Scabbards: Both sayas in mint condition with lacquer of kuro roiro nuri or what is known as shiny deep black lacquer. In fair to good condition.
