Description
A nice example of an older blade that was taken into battle during WW2. There were at times older blades remounted to be carried into battle, just as in the old days of the samurai. This shows how the sword still had quite a bit of influence on warriors, even during the time of modern weaponry. The blade has a suguha hamon made up of ko nie deki. The jigane is an itame with some slight looseness. In the original polish, you can still see every detail of the blade .There is some slight scuffing and scratches. Please note, that even though there are some openings, this does not make this blade any less of a formidable weapon. Signed by Kozuke Daijo Sukesada, in our opinion, it is possible that this signature may be genuine, we would like to research this signature a little bit more, as there was also student signed blades as well. In very nice original gunto mounts.
