Description
Shakudo nanako fuchi kashira with a very nice design of horses done in very high relief. Made in the fashion of a very famous set by Yokoya Somin, this set is very nice and has very good detail to the piece. Fuchi has one large well carved gold horse on one side with a shakudo one on the other side. Kashira has a horse with both gold and shakudo. Nanako background is done very well. In very good condition, this set would make a very nice mount complete. Good high relief carving such as this makes the piece very enjoyable, almost 3D in design.

Description
Very good set of shakudo nanako fuchi kashira. Design is well executed of flowers and scrolling leaves. Carving is very detailed and sharp. Flowers done in silver with fine minute gold detailed centers. The pattern of the design is very attractive and shows fine taste of the artist. Detail all around is impressive and finely done. Quality is easily seen in the overall picture. These have not yet been put to shinsa, but work has the feeling of something like the Ishiguro or Kikuoka Schools. Either way, they have a feeling of "class" to them, and would be an enjoyment on their own merit.

Description
Great shakudo fuchi kashira with design of multiple cherry tree blossoms (Sakura). Done in top grade shakudo, the quality of material plus the carving makes this set incredibly gorgeous but yet dignified. Cherry tree blossoms are a very nice subject for use on sword fittings. The samurai often related himself with the beauty of nature, a huge contrast when living in a world where his life could end at any minute. Thus the poetic meaning of the Sakura- they blossom fantastically great once a year for only a short time, then die in the peak of their lives. This set is very well made, and one almost doesn’t notice the very finely done nanako background. The artist did a very nice job in setting the design nicely in such a limited space. This set has not yet been through a shinsa, and we recommend that it be submitted as the quality is very good. Gold dots on the petals help accent the piece. In very good condition.
