Description
Good set of shakudo grape menuki. Very large in size, this is a very nice set, and it reminds us of the work from either the Ko Mino School, or the Ko Kinko School. Done in deep dark shakudo, with very fine detailed carving, this is a very nice set. In very good condition.

Description
Very nice set of conch shell menuki used as war horns. In the old days, the samurai used conch shells as warning and signaling horns. This set which is done very well , is made of dark black shakudo, with finely carved silver for the cords. Gold also accents the piece and they are done very well. The style of these menuki are that of the Goto School, and they look to be from the early Edo period. In very good condition.

Very thick set of menuki done of flowers. These menuki are well carved using various metals on a shakudo base. They are very thick, sparing no use of materials for the design. Fine work is shown, especially when the gold was used for the detail .
