| Description |
| Very nice
set of conch shell menuki used as war horns. In the old days, the
samurai used conch shells as warning and signaling horns. This set
which is done very well , is made of dark black shakudo, with finely
carved silver for the cords. Gold also accents the piece and they
are done very well. The style of these menuki are that of the Goto
School, and they look to be from the early Edo period. In very good
condition. |
