| Large rare and interesting menuki set. Very nice blue-black shakudo shishi menuki. Mounted on a bar, this style was used sometimes on tachi or handachi mounted swords. From the style of the craftsmanship, this set looks to be that of the Goto School. Such high-grade shakudo with this style of work show all of the characteristics of the Goto style work. This set also seems to have some age to them, yet they are in very good condition. |
