Description
Nice wide Hirazukuri wakizashi made by Masayoshi. This sword looks like a copy of a Nobukuni sword, since it is done in the Yamashiro tradition. The style and shape with the carving greatly resembles that of a fantastic Nobukuni sword. Bohi and soe hi are also carved into the blade very well. On one side there is an additional set of kanji reading ‘……” . Blade hamon is a very, very nice suguha done in true nie deki. There is a lot of nice nie crystal formation all through out the hamon with large Soshu style kinsuji. Hada is a very well mixed itame with chikei and ji-nie. Sword has a very strong shape, the wide and beautiful curvature, add to its strength in appearance. Mitsumune in the Soshu tradition. In very top polish , gold foil habaki and new shirasaya. Masayoshi was a direct student of Suishinshi Masahide and it shows well here of his ability to make great swords.
