| Excellent early Akasaka tsuba with the design known as “Nagekiri” or the dancing paulownia. This design has been used by the Akasaka School during all of its reign, and is considered one of the most popular. Very thick kasane leads us to put this tsuba with the early makers. Possibly the 4th master who is the 1st Tadatoki. This tsuba has not yet been through a shinsa, but deserves to be submitted. Good iron color, well cut design with a strong feeling. All in all a very nice tsuba at a reasonable price before shinsa. |
