| Nice shakudo nanako kozuka with heavy gold foil for the casing. This kozuka is done in the classic Goto School style. The style of the dragon weaving its way in and out of the surface is a Goto design. The shakudo nanako ground is classic Goto, and along with the uttori (foiled ) gold workmanship on the dragon, and the presence of the thick gold foil for the casing show the quality of skill and material used for this kozuka. The nice orange patina shows the high quality of the gold. The kogatana blade also shows that this was for someone of substance as it is a (in our opinion) genuine Sagami no Kami Masatsune blade. |
