| Very nice tsuba with a design of a large tiger on the front. Since this is the year of the Tiger, it seemed appropriate to offer such a piece. Very nice iron plate with excellent patina with a well carved Tiger done in kebori with use of gold, silver and copper for the accents. The back is done like an old brush painting, clouds with a mountain and a hint of bamboo. This shows the domain of the Tiger, who was king of the bamboo forest. The maker Sadahiko is from Shizuoka , near the famous mountain Fuji san. He was born in 1933 then became a genuine tsubako, teacher unknown. But he is listed in the Kinko Jiten. A very nice tsuba in a custom fitted box.
