Nice original mount handachi styled wakizashi. Blade is scratched up, but hamon is visible under good light. Temperline is a gunome midare mino style with some togariba. Blade does need a polish, tang is ubu 1 hole unsigned. Mountings are not so bad actually, sentoku handachi fittings all matching except tsuba.scrolling vines are the pattern carved into the fuchi kashira and saya parts. Menuki are of flowers, and the wrapping is a darkish green color. Kozuka is also sentoku with a type of ribbed pattern. Lacquer is finely cut deer hair pattern, and is in good condition. The tsuba is an iron plate with a nicely pierced design of 2 leaves. A nice package for those that are looking for a mounted sword in original mounts. |
