Iron tsuba plate with a katakiri bori design of a dragon. A very large tsuba, this piece is done very nicely. The carving is done clean and precise. The gold inlay adds to accent the piece. The style is definitely that of the late Mito School. The special tagane shows this connection. Motoharu is noted as an artist from this school. A very nice tsuba in good condition.
