| Description |
| Classic iron late by a Nakai School Choshu maker. The Nakai School in Choshu is one of the main faction of tsubako in Choshu. Choshu was a very productive area for tsuba making, and there are excellent examples left for us to study. Many Choshu tsuba have the popular designs of either dragons or Chinese landscapes as this one. The purplish hue to the iron is also a Choshu trait and is used for identification. Plate is in fair condition and could use a little toweling to bring it up to perfect condition. |
