Description

| Iron tsuba with design of cherry blossoms (sakura) floating in a river. The waves and cherry blossoms are very finely carved. Nice use of gold highlights on the cherry blossoms and in the waves. The shakudo plug shows that this tsuba was well liked by the previous owner as having a tsuba ana plugged was a expensive task. Tsuba has nice patina and in good condition. |
