| Tsuba by the Yoshiro Zogan School. Iron plate with sukashi mon design with brass inlay. The Yoshiro School is from Kaga and is often confused with the Heianjo School because of their use of shinchu zogan. It was during these times that brass was actually more valuable than gold in weight. So brass inlayed tsuba became very popular among the samurai. The brass inlay is intact and overall nice condition for it's age. |
