| Nicely carved fuchi kashira set of a Japanese bush warbler bird (Uguisu) and a plum branch (Ume) done in gold on a shibuichi base with a ishime background. The Japanese bush warbler bird and the plum tree has long been a popular motif, and even appears on hanafuda playing cards. A bit of oxidation, but otherwise in good condition. |
